No. You can take as long as you need to complete the course, provided that you do not submit your test. This means you can view part of the course, log off the computer, and come back at a later date to finish if needed.

Once you have successfully passed the course and received a certificate, the information is stored in your record. You can reprint your certificate by going to the “My Courses” section and selecting the “Reprint Option” in the far right column.

In order to get the specific certificate for a different certifying body’s continuing education, you need to purchase the course twice. BEFORE you do this, however, you should check with the certifying body to see if they will recognize the course accredited by another organization. COE, for example, recognizes most JCAHPO credits and therefore a reprint of the same certificate would suffice.

Based on requirements established by the various accrediting bodies, the passing score for all courses is 80%. This passing score is acceptable for all certifications (nursing CE, JCAHPO, and COE). If you do not achieve a passing score when you take the course test, you can retake the test as many times as necessary in order to achieve an 80% score.
